Warren Tech is running a hybrid model, starting on day one of the 2020-21 school year, based on the belief that Warren Tech students will benefit from hands-on, learning by doing as much as safely possible and as soon as safely possible.

  • Students are assigned to either Cohort A or Cohort B and will follow the schedule for their group.
  • Cohort A attends in-person learning Monday and Wednesday and asynchronous online, remote learning Tuesday and Thursday.
  • Cohort B attends in-person learning Tuesday and Thursday and asynchronous online, remote learning Monday and Wednesday.

Within both cohorts, students are also assigned to either an AM or a PM program.

  • AM students who attend Warren Tech Central have in-person learning from 7:30 - 10:30 a.m.
  • PM students who attend Warren Tech Central have in-person learning from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m.
  • AM students who attend Warren Tech North have in-person learning from 7:15 - 10:15 a.m.
  • PM students who attend Warren Tech North have in-person learning from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m.

Example: Taylor is in Cohort B and is assigned to a PM program at Warren Tech Central. Therefore, they are in an in-person class on Tuesday and Thursday from 12:30 - 3:30 p.m. They engage in online, remote asynchronous learning on Monday and Wednesday, time depending on their Warren Tech instructor’s guidelines and their home high school schedule.

*Fridays, both Cohort A and Cohort B have asynchronous student access time online/remotely. Students may use this time to catch up on the week’s work, participate in additional online learning with their WT instructors, and get questions answered.

Friday requirements are determined by individual WT instructors. Students may also set up an appointment to meet with their instructors in-person on Fridays to get extra help. Buses will NOT run Fridays, but if a student needs transportation in order to make up work or access additional support, please let your instructor know. Students will be expected to log in to complete assignments.
